BATU GAJAH (THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - A group of thieves successfully loaded five goats into the back seat of a Perodua Myvi after stealing them from a farm in Perak on Friday (Sept 30), but the effort took so long that they ended up being caught.

One of them was caught red-handed by members of the public at the goat farm located near the district's rubbish disposal site in Jalan Tanjung Tualang at about 2.30am, said Batu Gajah OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Nasri Omar.

The sheepish thief was handed over to police. Photographs of the goats in the car have since gone viral on social media.

"It is believed that the suspect had six accomplices but they managed to get away," said the police official.

However, police managed to catch two of the accomplices later.

ACP Mohd Nasri added that police also found two motorcycles left behind at the scene.
